The Path We Walk

A innovative Interactive experience using State of the art Augmented reality glasses provided by Snapchat, designed as a call to action to harness technology for genuine human connection. A moment to pause, reflect, and reconnect with ourselves.

Dates: 2024-Present

Description:

In a world where we grow increasingly detached from ourselves and each other, we risk losing our sense of community, humanity, and shared experiences. Technology, meant to enhance our lives and 'connect' us, has instead come to dominate our everyday existence. The Path We Walk is an installation that invites us to rethink this relationship—using technology as a means to reconnect with ourselves. As technology advances, it’s crucial to explore how we can harness it to bring us closer together, growing with these tools rather than allowing them to dictate our growth as a society.

Throughout this experience, participants wear state-of-the-art augmented reality glasses, offering a unique lens into both the world around them and their relationship with technology. As they journey through the installation, they find moments to connect with themselves and pause for reflection, stepping back from the rush of daily life to consider how technology can deepen rather than distract from genuine human experience.

This experience was hosted at Riot Games, home to AAA titles like Valorant, League of Legends, and the Netflix series Arcane. The Path We Walk sparked conversation and laughter, serving as a refreshing reminder of the joy and connection we share when we come together. Designed to awaken our natural curiosity and sense of adventure, the installation encouraged participants to reconnect—not only with themselves but with each other.

Behind the scenes

With every installation I make sure I create a 3d render to understand the feeling and experience

Every time I create an installation, I try to capture the beauty of nature in a way that feels personal. For this one, I used textures and plants from El Salvador, where my family is from. It’s rare to see these familiar pieces of home in the city, where everyone’s always rushing. I wanted to create a space that lets people slow down, take a breath, and reconnect. Walking through the labyrinth surrounded by plants, each step matters. And at the end, there’s a statue representing water—a symbol of flow and calm, encouraging us to pause and just be.

Programming and testing the 3D Experience in my studio

Bringing communities and people together through technology is at the heart of every project I design. With the cutting-edge augmented reality glasses provided by Snapchat, I’m able to extend my creativity and vision, creating experiences that bridge the digital and physical worlds.
